We did wish that what used the be the breakfast area and a bar in the evening was still open, there isn’t much to walk to and it would have been nice to have a place to hang out. However, I have stayed in hotels that are much more expensive and offered no breakfast at all so it provides a convenient option. Other reviewers have mentioned the preorder breakfast, which is a fairly limited selection of prepackaged food. It is very well climate controlled and pretty convenient to nearby attractions (like the casino) but also to Ellicottville and skiing. Especially given how good the prices are, the rooms are scrupulously clean and the beds are super comfortable. The White Pine Lodge was an extremely reasonable option for a family visit over the holidays.
